SecureAgent.Net, a division of AgentSupport.Info and DonnWolfe.Com, the owner of the Profile Manager service, uses industry standard practices (the same as your bank) to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal identifiable information, including "firewalls", ".htaccess" (secure password protection - see below) and "Secure Socket Layers" (SSL - see below). We treat data as an asset that must be protected against loss and unauthorized access. We employ many different security techniques to protect such data from unauthorized access. However, "absolute perfect security" does not exist on the Internet.

7. What is SSL?

SSL (pronounced as separate letters) is short for Secure Sockets Layer. It is the standard World Wide Web protocol for encrypting communications between users and SSL eCommerce sites. Data sent via an SSL connection is protected by encryption, a mechanism that prevents eavesdropping and tampering with any transmitted data. SSL provides businesses and consumers with the confidence that private data sent to a Web site, such as credit card numbers, are kept confidential. Certified Web Server Certificates (also known as secure server certificates or SSL certificates) are required to initialize an SSL session.

8. What is .htaccess?

".htaccess" is a web server's measure to limit access to a site or page to authorized encrypted users passwords.

9. Cookies

How does it work? If you select the Remember Me option upon login, a cookie will be set on your PC so that you don't need to login on further visits to this page.

Security? You should be aware that this enables anyone using your PC to access your account without knowing your username and/or password. So, if you want to delete the cookie information afterwards simply click the "Logout" link and the cookie will be deleted from your PC.

What data gets saved on my PC? You login details will be saved on your system, encrypted with a 1-way pattern. There won't be any profile related data saved on your system.
